In literacy this week we watched
a short film called ‘Zahra’, about a young girl in Africa. We then had a go a
retelling the story in our own words.

In maths this week the Reception
children have been recapping some of the work they have been doing this
term, such as recognising shape, doubling and halving. The year one
children have been working on finding fractions of shapes and telling the time.

In our topic work this week
we have been learning about sound. We talked about how sound travelled through
the air and then took part in an investigation to find out what happened to
sounds when you stood further away.
