- In literacy this week we have been
busy writing about our African Day. We sequenced the events in the correct
order and then had a go at writing a simple recount of what we got up to.
- In maths this week the Reception children
have been working on solving doubling and halving problems using
lots of different objects including paper, play dough and raisins! The year one
children have been working on solving addition and subtraction problems and
recording their answers.
- In our topic work this week
we took part in some African drumming, dancing and painting! We have also been
very busy practising our class assembly. On Thursday we celebrated World Book
Day, dressing up as a book character and visiting pre-school and the children’s
centre to take part in different book-themes activities.
