This week in Wheatgrass Class...

·         In Literacy this week we have been reading the story ‘Harry and the dinosaurs romp in the swamp!” We talked about the characters in the story and how they were feeling at different points in the book. We had a go at labelling a scene from the story with how the characters felt.

·         In Maths this week the Reception children have been working on recognising and describing 2D shapes. They also had a go at making simple patterns using the shapes. The Y1 children have been working on capacity, comparing different sized containers and working out how much water they can contain.

·         In our topic work this week we have been looking at some old toys. We talked about what they looked like, felt like and how they worked. In science we looked at a variety of toys and talked about whether we needed to push or pull them to make them move.
