-In Literacy this week we have been thinking
about Bonfire Night. We talked about our experiences and tried to describe what
we might see and hear during a firework display. We also read a poem about
fireworks and talked about what poems were.
-In Maths this week the Reception children have been
working on our measuring skills. We compared the height and length of different
classroom objects and tried to make sure we used words like 'shorter', 'longer'
and 'taller.' The Y1 children have been working on continuing
and making repeating patterns.
- In our topic work this week we talked about
Remembrance Sunday and why we wear poppies. We also learned about Guy Fawkes
and why we celebrate Bonfire Night. We also enjoyed our first lesson with our
new PE coach!
