In Literacy this week we have been reading
the story ‘This is the bear’ about a bear that gets lost and taken to a rubbish
dump! We had a go at describing the setting of the story and worked hard to
think of some great adjectives to describe it.

In Maths this week the Reception children have been busy
measuring the weight and capacity of different objects, using words like
‘full’, ‘empty’, ‘heavy’ and ‘light.’ The Y1 children have been working on halving
objects and shapes as well as starting some problem solving activities.

In our topic work this week we started
to sew our own puppets which we found a little tricky! We also took part in a
science experiment to find out which vehicles travelled the furthest down a
ramp. On Friday we had lots of fun wearing our PJs for Children In Need!
