This week in Wheatgrass Class...

• In literacy this week we have been learning about information texts. We looked at lots of different non-fiction books and talked about their features and how they are different from story books.
• In maths this week the Reception children have been working on their subtraction skills. We used different methods to solve word problems and practised recording our work in a number sentence. The year one children have been working on comparing and measuring capacity and reading simple scales.
• In our topic work this week we have been working on our ICT skills, using the IPads to take photos, using the zoom to focus in on minibeasts and their habitats around school. We also had a go at sorting different insects in different ways. In Art, we worked hard to sketch different minibeasts.
