It's nearly Christmas!

This week has been very busy and exciting. On Monday morning we were visited by the RAF band whilst we performed the first evening performance of our play. On Tuesday we took part in two more performances and on Wednesday we had lots of fun at the Golden Treat and our Christmas party ( as well as being visited by a very special person!) On Thursday we went to the church for the Christingle service and were very excited to begin our Christmas holidays!

Have a lovely Christmas and see you in January!

This week in Wheatgrass Class...

This week in Wheatgrass Class we have been busy getting into the Christmas spirit! We have completed our Christmas cards and have begun work on our 2015 calendars. We talked about what we like doing most at Christmas time and how we celebrate it at home. On Friday we had a great day, taking part in our dress rehearsal, watching the other children's performances and enjoying our Christmas dinner!

We hope to see many of you at our Christmas performances next week!

A message from Santa

Last week we received a message from Santa! He asked us to write a list of what we would like for Christmas! We did really well and tried very hard with our sounding out and letter formation!

This week in Wheatgrass Class...

·         In Literacy this week we have been busy writing a list to Santa! We worked hard on our sounding out and tried to remember how to set out a list.
·         In Maths this week the Reception children have been working on their subtraction skills and recording a simple number sentence. The Y1 children have been working on using time-related words correctly and sequencing daily events.
·         In our topic work this week we have started to make our Christmas cards. We also had a go at using the Bee-bots, programming them and sending them around the classroom. On Wednesday we took part in Christmas Maths Day and had lots of fun making shortbread biscuits.

Please can all costumes for the Nativity be in school by Thursday 11th December at the latest, ready for the dress rehearsal on Friday 12th December.
